Cassis: Diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Papua New Guinea enter a new phase
Bern, May 7 (Hibya) – Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis met with the Fribourg government and with Papua New Guinea’s Foreign Minister Justin Tkatchenko in Geneva.
Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis met with his counterpart from Papua New Guinea, Justin Tkatchenko, in Geneva. The meeting took place on the occasion of Papua New Guinea opening its first bilateral and multilateral diplomatic mission in Geneva.
Cassis stated that this step marks a new level in diplomatic relations between Switzerland and Papua New Guinea, which is celebrating its 50th year of independence. He described the development as “a strong symbol of shared commitment to universality and multilateralism.”
