Danish Prime Minister Frederiksen to visit Berlin and Paris
Copenhagen, 27 January (Hibya) – The Danish Prime Minister’s Office announced that Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen will visit Berlin and Paris together with Naalakkersuisut Chairman Jens-Frederik Nielsen.
It was stated that Prime Minister Frederiksen will pay official visits to Berlin and Paris together with Naalakkersuisut Chairman Nielsen.
According to a statement by the Danish Prime Minister’s Office, Frederiksen travelled to Berlin after attending a wind energy summit held in Hamburg. The statement noted that in Berlin, Frederiksen and Nielsen will discuss current foreign policy developments and the need to strengthen Europe.
It was also reported that the two leaders will attend the geopolitical and economic World Economic Summit, with the participation of representatives from German business and government circles, and will hold various meetings with selected opinion leaders and foreign policy actors.
The statement added that following the Berlin meetings, Frederiksen and Nielsen will proceed to Paris to meet with French President Emmanuel Macron. As part of the visit, the two will also attend a talk at Sciences Po University, moderated by former political adviser and writer Giuliano Da Empoli.
