Governor General of Canada receives credentials of Qatar’s Ambassador to Ottawa
Ottawa, Jan. 27 (Hibya) – Governor General of Canada Mary Simon received the credentials of Qatar’s Ambassador to Canada, Tariq Ali Faraj Al-Ansari.
Governor General of Canada Simon received the credentials of the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Canada, Al-Ansari. The ceremony was held on January 27, 2026, in Canada’s capital, Ottawa.
Ambassador Al-Ansari conveyed the greetings of the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to Governor General Simon, wishing her health and happiness, and extending wishes of progress and prosperity to the Government and people of Canada.
Governor General of Canada Mary Simon, in turn, requested that her greetings be conveyed to the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Al Thani, wishing him health and happiness, and continued development and growth for the State of Qatar.
