Dar Attends SCO Council of Heads of Government Meeting
Islamabad, 17 November (Hibya) – Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar will lead the Pakistani delegation to the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) meeting in Moscow on 17–18 November.
At the invitation of Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Dar will participate on behalf of Pakistan in the SCO CHG meeting, held in Moscow on 17–18 November 2025.
The meeting will be attended by the heads of government of Belarus, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as the Vice President of Iran and the foreign ministers of Pakistan and India. Senior representatives from Mongolia, Bahrain, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait and Turkmenistan, along with representatives of regional and international organizations such as the Commonwealth of Independent States, the Eurasian Economic Union, the Collective Security Treaty Organization and the Democratic Socialists of America, will also participate.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar is expected to present Pakistan’s views on regional and global issues and share proposals aimed at strengthening SCO for the benefit of the region. As a guiding body in the fields of economy, finance, trade, investment and socio-economic cooperation, the SCO CHG will adopt a joint statement and important decisions at the conclusion of the meeting.
