According to a statement issued by Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in the Philippine capital Manila on the sidelines of the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting.

During the meeting, the two ministers reviewed Pakistan-Russia bilateral relations. They reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in areas such as trade, energy and transport connectivity, as well as strengthening coordination on multilateral platforms.

The meeting also highlighted the contribution of continued high-level contacts to bilateral relations, while the two sides exchanged views on regional and international issues.
