Dar spoke at a panel titled “Trust in Trade: The Future of Economic Integration and Stability in South Asia” held as part of the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum.

He stated that despite South Asia’s significant economic potential, a lack of trust has kept it one of the least integrated regions in the world, stressing that strengthening regional trade, enhancing economic connectivity, and deepening people-to-people ties are critical for shared growth.

Dar noted that regional conflicts disrupt energy supply chains and have global impacts on food security, inflation, and economic stability, emphasizing that addressing these challenges is essential for stability and development.

He also highlighted the importance of multilateral platforms such as SAARC and the United Nations, stating that regional issues should be resolved within the framework of international law.

Dar added that resolving the Jammu and Kashmir issue in line with UN Security Council resolutions is necessary for regional peace and stability, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to dialogue, international law, and inclusive development.
