Dar: We value our ongoing relationship with the United States
Washington, 20 February (Hibya) - Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar said they value their long-standing relationship with the United States of America.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar held a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Stating that Pakistan values its long-standing relationship with the United States and appreciates the meaningful discussions held on advancing peace, cooperation in combating terrorism, and expanding bilateral economic and trade ties, Dar said, “We look forward to further strengthening our strategic partnership across all areas of mutual interest.”
Rubio, for his part, said he met with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, adding, “I appreciate Pakistan’s continued support for the U.S. President’s Gaza Peace Plan and its participation in the Peace Council. During our meeting, we discussed the importance of our strategic relationship in developing critical minerals and counterterrorism.”
