Drone attack in Tokmak: 5 killed, 18 injured
Moscow, July 3 (Hibya) – Russian authorities said that five civilians were killed and 18 others injured in what they described as a Ukrainian drone attack on the city of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Russia's Investigative Committee announced that it has launched an investigation into a drone strike targeting a marketplace in the city of Tokmak in the Zaporizhzhia region. The statement described the incident as a "terrorist act."
According to preliminary information provided by the Russian side, five civilians were killed and 18 others were injured in the attack. The injured were taken to Tokmak Central District Hospital, where they are continuing to receive treatment.
Russian Foreign Ministry official Rodion Miroshnik claimed that the attack took place in a crowded area and targeted civilian sites, arguing that the incident constituted a "terrorist act."
Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova also condemned the attack, stating that such actions against civilians are unacceptable and announcing that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
