Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand held a meeting with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev to strengthen relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, the parties discussed increasing trade and economic cooperation between Canada and Kazakhstan, advancing shared economic priorities, and developing a new roadmap.

Minister Anand said: “We celebrated the success of the annual Canada–Kazakhstan Business Council meeting and discussed developing a roadmap to advance our shared economic priorities. I look forward to hosting him in Canada and continuing our exchanges during my next visit to Kazakhstan.”
