Estonian Foreign Minister Tsahkna: The aggressor should not be rewarded
Tallinn, August 11 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said that the aggressor should not be rewarded but should face heavy sanctions and be held accountable.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna held a phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
During the conversation, Estonia reaffirmed its unwavering support for Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
Tsahkna said, “The aggressor should not be rewarded; they should face heavy sanctions and be held accountable.”
In addition, during the discussion on Ukraine’s path to the European Union, both sides agreed that the first negotiation cluster for Ukraine and Moldova should be opened without delay.
