EU Commission President Leyen congratulates Australian Prime Minister Albanese
Brussels, May 3 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen congratulated Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and his party on winning the elections again.
President Leyen stated that she congratulated Albanese and his party on their victory in Australia’s federal elections.
Noting that Europeans and Australians are not just partners but also friends, she added: “Let us use this moment of stability to deepen our cooperation. Together, we can boost trade and investment and promote our shared democratic values and a free, open Indo-Pacific.”
