EU Commission President von der Leyen met with Portuguese Prime Minister Montenegro
Brussels, August 21 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that she had met with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro. She stressed that she conveyed to Montenegro Europe’s solidarity over the forest fires in Portugal and stated:
"We continue to support Portugal’s fight against the fires and to help prevent further outbreaks. And we are ready to finance the recovery through our European Solidarity Fund."
