Euro and pound rise against dollar in foreign exchange markets
Istanbul, October 20 (Hibya) - The euro and British pound gained against the US dollar in global foreign exchange markets, while the US dollar weakened against the Japanese yen and Canadian dollar. The Australian dollar also recorded a modest increase.
The euro/dollar exchange rate rose by 0.1963 percent to 1.1232. The pound/dollar exchange rate increased by 0.23 percent to 1.3332, while the Australian dollar/US dollar exchange rate gained 0.06 percent to 0.6982.
The dollar/yen exchange rate declined by 0.1893 percent to 158.18, while the US dollar/Canadian dollar exchange rate traded at 1.408, down 0.2126 percent.
