Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Fletcher made assessments regarding Syria’s future.

Fletcher stated, “Syria’s future must be built on safe ground,” pointing to the critical role of mine clearance operations in the country.

Noting that mine clearance efforts are yielding results, Fletcher said, “Thanks to mine action efforts, more than one million people have returned to their homes since December 2024.”

Emphasizing that the UN will continue its humanitarian activities in the field, Fletcher said, “We are determined to continue our life-saving humanitarian work and will keep contributing to building a mine-free Syria.”

The statement highlighted that mine clearance efforts are of great importance both for civilian safety and for the return of displaced people.
