Ghebreyesus: We have shown that with science and support, we can immediately stop outbreaks
Geneva, April 26 (Hibya) - World Health Organization (WHO) Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that thanks to the leadership of the Ugandan government, the commitment of health workers and communities, and the support of WHO and partners, they have demonstrated that with preparation, speed, coordination, science, and support, outbreaks can be immediately stopped.
WHO Director-General Ghebreyesus emphasized that with joint efforts, they have proven the ability to immediately stop outbreaks.
He congratulated the government and response teams for ending the Ebola outbreak.
