New York, November 13 (Hibya) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed deep concern regarding the latest news of mass atrocities and serious human rights violations in the Sudanese city of El Fasher, as well as the rising violence in the Kordofan regions.
UN Secretary-General Guterres stated that he is deeply concerned about the latest news regarding mass atrocities and severe human rights violations in the Sudanese city of El Fasher, as well as the escalating violence in the Kordofan regions.
Guterres emphasized that the flow of weapons and fighters from external actors must be stopped immediately and added: "Humanitarian aid must be able to reach the civilians in need swiftly. The conflicts must come to an end."
Guterres called on the Sudanese Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces to take concrete and swift steps toward a negotiated solution.
