Hegseth: We dealt a heavy blow to the world’s most notorious sponsor of terrorism
Washington, September 11 (Hibya) - United States (US) Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said operations carried out over the past six months had dealt a heavy blow to the regime in the Middle East.
US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth said US forces had successfully fought against a theocracy that had sponsored acts of terrorism for many years and announced that military targets had been neutralized.
Assessing the campaign, Hegseth said: “Over the past six months, we dealt a heavy blow to the world’s most notorious state sponsor of terrorism. Our warriors fought against an Islamic theocracy that has wished for our death for nearly half a century and celebrated the September 11 attacks.”
Drawing attention to the regime’s past actions, Hegseth said: “A regime that has sponsored terrorist attacks against Americans for decades and caused the deaths of thousands, including our brothers in arms in Iraq and Afghanistan...”
Hegseth concluded his statement by saying: “They did not account for this president. The United States killed their leaders, destroyed their air force; their navy now lies at the bottom of the sea.”
