U.S. Secretary of War Hegseth stated that the six U.S. soldiers who lost their lives while serving during “Operation Epic Fury” made great sacrifices while serving their country.

Hegseth said that the soldiers’ duties required a sense of responsibility and commitment that most civilians could not fully understand, naming them as “Major Jeffrey R. O’Brien, Captain Cody A. Khork, Master Sergeant Robert M. Marzan, Sergeant First Class Nicole M. Amor, Sergeant First Class Noah L. Tietjens, and Sergeant Declan J. Coady.”

Emphasizing that the soldiers risked their lives while serving their country, Hegseth said: “We send our prayers and unwavering support to their families, loved ones, and fellow soldiers. We will find the responsible Iranian radicals, eliminate their military capabilities, and ensure that justice is swift and decisive.”
