IDF: Air Force killed Quds Force commander Athar Bakri
Tel Aviv, April 6 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that during an air operation targeting Tehran, Athar Bakri, commander of the Quds Force’s special operations unit 840, was neutralized.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) shared details of last night’s airstrike on Tehran, carried out by the Air Force based on precise intelligence provided by the Intelligence Directorate.
It was stated that another figure from the Iranian regime’s critical command structure was also targeted during the operation.
In the official statement, it was said: “The Air Force, under precise direction from the Intelligence Directorate, struck Tehran last night and killed Athar Bakri, who has been the commander of the Quds Force’s special operations unit (840) since 2019.”
The statement added: “In recent years, Bakri held several senior roles within the Quds Force and supported numerous attempts to carry out attacks against Israeli and American targets worldwide.”
