IDF: Operation conducted against Hamas finance and production infrastructure in Khan Yunis
Jerusalem, May 28 (Hibya) - The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that an airstrike in the Khan Yunis area of Gaza targeted Ihab Khreis, said to be involved in Hamas’ financial transfer network, and Mohammed Elhabash, one of those responsible for the production unit.
The IDF issued a statement regarding the airstrike carried out in the Khan Yunis area of the Gaza Strip.
The statement claimed that Ihab Khreis, said to be responsible for Hamas’ financial transfer network, was targeted and neutralized in the attack. It was alleged that Khreis played a role in managing millions of dollars in fund transfers to Hamas’ military wing and had recently been involved in planning attacks against Israel.
The IDF also announced that Mohammed Elhabash, said to have served in Hamas’ production unit, was killed in the same operation. The statement said Elhabash had been involved in weapons production activities during the war.
The statement added that IDF Southern Command units continue to be deployed in the area and that operations are ongoing with the aim of “eliminating immediate threats.”
