Iran and Italy held the 5th round of political consultations
Tehran, June 9 (Hibya) – The Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Italy held the fifth round of political consultations, co-chaired by Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi and Italy’s Deputy Foreign Minister Riccardo Guariglia.
During the consultations, the two sides discussed bilateral relations in the political, economic, cultural, and consular fields, as well as international issues such as the indirect negotiations between Iran and the US and regional developments. The parties exchanged views and positions on these topics.
It was agreed to follow up and evaluate certain issues, and it was decided that the next round of political consultations would be held in Rome.
Deputy Foreign Minister Guariglia and his delegation also met with Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi for further discussions.
