Iran’s retaliatory attacks spread to the Gulf
Dubai, March 2 (Hibya) - As part of the retaliatory attacks launched by Iran in response to operations in which religious leader Ali Khamenei and senior officials were killed, violent explosions occurred in Dubai on Monday morning.
According to CCTV, as Iran continued targeting U.S. bases in Gulf countries in its retaliatory strikes, a new series of violent explosions was heard in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on Monday morning.
Some Dubai residents received notifications instructing them to immediately move to safe locations.
Iran’s retaliatory attacks followed operations that the United States and Israel described as “large-scale combat operations” against Iran. The retaliatory strikes targeted Israeli and U.S. facilities in the region; explosions were reported in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan, the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
The UAE Ministry of Defense stated that the country’s air force and air defense forces successfully intercepted and destroyed 137 ballistic missiles and 209 unmanned aerial vehicles launched by Iran.
