Israeli Navy launches attack on Yemen’s western Hodeidah port
Stockholm, June 10 (Hibya) – According to a statement from the Israeli military, for the first time, Israeli missile boats launched an attack Tuesday morning on infrastructure at the Houthi-controlled port of Hodeidah in western Yemen.
The Israel Defense Forces said the naval strikes were in response to Houthi ballistic missile and drone attacks carried out Monday night.
Tuesday’s strikes were likely the farthest confirmed operation carried out by Israeli missile boats. Hodeidah is located approximately 1,800 kilometers from Israel.
This was the eleventh Israeli attack on the Houthis since the beginning of the conflict. All ten previous attacks had been conducted by the Israeli Air Force.
