Security and defense agreement between the EU and Iceland
Brussels, March 18 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas announced that a new partnership has been signed between the EU and Iceland, deepening cooperation in the field of security and defense.

Stating that the signed EU-Iceland Security and Defense Partnership agreement elevates relations to a higher level, Kallas said: "This partnership will deepen our cooperation in key areas for the safety of our citizens, from maritime security to the protection of critical infrastructure."
Kallas emphasized that this agreement is a win for both the EU and Iceland.
