Dutch Prime Minister Jetten held a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Stating that ties with India are steadily strengthening, Jetten said: "Earlier this year, the EU and India signed an important trade agreement, and the Netherlands and India are developing a strategic partnership covering defense, water management, innovation, and trade."

Emphasizing that it is the right time to strengthen cooperation given everything currently happening in the world, Jetten added: "I look forward to welcoming him to the Netherlands as soon as possible to make further progress on these issues."
