Jetten: We will not allow the right to demonstrate to be abused
Amsterdam, September 19 (Hibya) – Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten made a statement regarding the groups that clashed with police at Malieveld.
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten said that some groups deliberately clashed with police at Malieveld today and commented on the incidents.
Jetten said: “Extreme violence was used against the police; in addition, those disgusting far-right and antisemitic slogans were chanted alongside Nazi salutes.”
Expressing appreciation for the conduct of the police and municipal authorities, Jetten said: “We will firmly defend the rule of law and will not allow the right to demonstrate to be abused.”
