Merz: Breuer elected Chair of the NATO Military Committee
Berlin, September 19 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz made a statement regarding the election of Inspector General Carsten Breuer as Chair of the NATO Military Committee.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said Breuer had been elected Chair of the NATO Military Committee and stated that Germany was assuming responsibility within the Alliance.
Merz said: “Congratulations! Inspector General Carsten Breuer has been elected Chair of the NATO Military Committee.”
Noting that Germany is taking on responsibility within NATO at a challenging time, Merz said: “We are grateful for the trust our allies place in us.”
