Joint training continues in PANAMAX 26 with participation of 19 countries
Washington, Aug. 6 (Hibya) - U.S. Southern Command announced that defense and security forces from 19 partner nations are continuing training activities aimed at safeguarding the Panama Canal as part of the PANAMAX 26 exercise.
U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) reported that multinational defense and security forces are continuing joint training activities under the PANAMAX 26 exercise.
In a statement shared on SOUTHCOM’s social media account, it said the exercise aims to enhance interoperability among the 19 participating partner nations and strengthen regional readiness.
The statement noted that operations across all domains, maritime training and tactical exchanges are helping participating countries improve their capabilities to preserve security and stability in the Western Hemisphere.
The PANAMAX exercise is organized to support the security of the Panama Canal and increase coordination among partner nations.
