Kazakh Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev and Romania's acting Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu held a telephone conversation.

According to a statement from Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry, the two officials reviewed the current state of cooperation between the countries and steps aimed at further developing it.

The parties expressed their mutual willingness to strengthen political dialogue, expand trade and economic relations, and increase cooperation in priority areas.

Energy cooperation was also one of the key topics on the agenda. The parties discussed the activities of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), which plays an important role in transporting Kazakh oil to international markets.

The statement emphasized the importance of the stable operation of energy infrastructure and the reliable supply of hydrocarbons to the European market. It also condemned actions threatening the operation of CPC infrastructure and energy supply security.

At the end of the conversation, Romania's acting Foreign Minister Țoiu invited Minister Kosherbayev to pay an official visit to Romania in order to continue the political dialogue between the two countries.
