Kallas: Iran's attacks in the Middle East are inexcusable
Brussels, March 1 (Hibya) - European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas condemned Iran's attacks on countries in the region and stated that diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and prevent nuclear armament will continue.
Kaja Kallas issued a statement regarding Iran’s military operations and the security situation in the region.
Highlighting the global consequences of the attacks, Kallas said, “Iran's attacks on several countries in the Middle East are inexcusable. The events must not lead to further escalation that could threaten the region, Europe, and beyond, and result in unpredictable consequences.”
She added, “We are taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of EU citizens in the region. The EU expresses solidarity with partners that have been attacked or affected. We will continue to contribute to all diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and to find a lasting solution that will prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.”
