Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev met with KAZENERGY Association Chairman Serikkali Brekeshev.

According to a statement from Kazakhstan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting addressed the development of cooperation in the fields of energy diplomacy, international cooperation and the promotion of Kazakhstan's energy potential on international industry platforms.

The meeting also assessed attracting foreign investment to Kazakhstan's energy sector, expanding cooperation with foreign companies, international organizations and industry associations, as well as strengthening international business relations.

The parties also discussed Kazakhstan's participation in the 25th World Polytechnic Conference Energy Congress, to be held in Riyadh from October 11 to 15, 2026. It was stated that Kazakhstan plans to use the congress to promote the country's investment and technological opportunities and to publicize Astana's candidacy to host the next World Polytechnic Conference Energy Congress in 2028.
