Kos: We will continue to advance Ukraine’s EU accession process
Brussels, August 27 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos commented on the Montenegrin Parliament’s approval by a large majority of constitutional amendments aimed at strengthening the independence of the judiciary and the Central Bank.
European Union (EU) Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos announced that she met with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko while Russian attacks were taking place near the prime minister’s office.
Kos said the meeting addressed the reforms needed to advance Ukraine’s European Union (EU) accession process, as well as its financing needs in the coming months.
Kos said that Ukraine continues to work toward its European future even under intense attacks, adding that the European Union will continue to help Ukraine meet its urgent financing, energy and defence needs.
Kos emphasized that Ukraine’s EU accession process would also continue to move forward.
