An attack took place today at Brinellskolan in Fagersta, Sweden.

Swedish Prime Minister Kristersson said one person was killed and three people were injured in the attack. Kristersson stated that students and school employees who were at the school during the attack were also affected by the incident.

Kristersson said that some schools were evacuated following the attack and that worried families waited for hours. Stating that emergency response teams continued their work after the incident, Kristersson said the police investigation into the attack was ongoing.

The Swedish Prime Minister announced that one person had been detained by police and that the investigation into the cause of the incident was continuing.
