Kristersson: Sweden supports free trade and international cooperation
Stockholm, July 12 (Hibya) – Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson commented on the U.S. administration’s decision to unilaterally impose a 30% customs tariff on the European Union (EU).
Prime Minister Kristersson expressed regret over the U.S. decision and stated that the Swedish government supports the EU Commission’s determination to find a negotiated solution.
Kristersson added:
"The EU is ready to respond with firm measures if necessary. But in an escalating trade conflict, everyone loses—and American consumers pay the highest price. Sweden stands for free trade and international cooperation."
