Lahbib: 16 civilians killed in drone strike
Addis Ababa, October 30 (Hibya) - European Union (EU) Commissioner Hadja Lahbib reported that 16 civilians had been killed in an attack in Ethiopia.
EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that 16 civilians had been killed in a drone strike targeting a camp in Ethiopia's Amhara region.
Lahbib stated that people displaced by violence were also being targeted by drones. Emphasizing that civilians in conflict zones are not safe even from threats coming from the sky, Lahbib said: "The rules of war still apply to drone warfare. Accountability is essential."
