Lahbib: Our support for Serbia continues
Brussels, August 28 (Hibya) - European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib announced that the deployment of firefighting teams on the ground has been extended due to the ongoing wildfires in Serbia.
Lahbib said European solidarity requires standing by Serbia and first responders in difficult times.
In her statement, Lahbib said: “Our support for Serbia continues.” Noting that wildfires are still ongoing in the country, Lahbib said the deployment of firefighting vehicles and teams sent to the field has been extended.
Lahbib stated: “European solidarity means standing by Serbia and first responders when needed and continuing our support.”
