Leyen: Energy security is vital for the EU
Brussels, April 28 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a phone call with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
European Commission President von der Leyen spoke with Portuguese Prime Minister Luis Montenegro following the power outage on the Iberian Peninsula.
Von der Leyen stated that they would work together to help restore the electricity system and ease the situation for citizens, adding: "Because energy security is vital for the EU."
