Leyen, Metsola and the Danish Prime Minister’s Office held a meeting
Brussels, November 10 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and the Danish Prime Minister’s Office.
European Commission President Leyen said she had a constructive meeting with Metsola and the Danish Prime Minister’s Office on the Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF).
She stated that they clarified and strengthened their goals in three key areas: securing the role of regions, reinforcing the identity of the Common Agricultural Policy, and improving governance.
“We now have a solid understanding of the proposals and a clear roadmap. I look forward to Wednesday’s debate in the European Parliament,” Leyen said.
Metsola said she conveyed the European Parliament’s concerns during the meeting and held a constructive discussion on the European Commission’s proposals regarding the role of regional authorities, the Common Agricultural Policy, and governance. “I want to thank Parliament rapporteurs Siegfried Muresan and Carla Tavares, group leaders, and presidents. Our work continues,” she added.
