Limited movement in currency markets
Istanbul, June 10 (Hibya) - Major currencies recorded limited changes in international foreign exchange markets during the trading day.
Major currencies recorded limited changes in international foreign exchange markets during the trading day. The U.S. dollar gained value against some currencies, while a flat performance was observed in several currency pairs.
The euro/dollar pair rose 0.02 percent to 1.1533. The pound/dollar pair also increased by 0.02 percent to 1.3382.
The dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate climbed 0.03 percent to 46.1206, while the dollar/yen pair edged up 0.01 percent to 160.36. The dollar/Swiss franc pair rose 0.14 percent to 0.7990, marking one of the most notable moves of the day.
The U.S. dollar/Canadian dollar pair also posted a limited increase of 0.01 percent, trading at 1.3948.
The euro/yen pair gained 0.05 percent to 185.15, while the euro/pound pair slipped 0.03 percent to 0.8627.
Meanwhile, the Australian dollar and New Zealand dollar, regarded as commodity currencies, lost ground against the U.S. dollar. The AUD/USD pair fell 0.30 percent, while the NZD/USD pair declined 0.10 percent.
