Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva shared details of his phone call with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.

Expressing satisfaction with the ceasefire achieved in Gaza, Lula said: “I expressed my satisfaction with the ceasefire in Gaza and received President Abbas’s views regarding expectations for reconstruction in the region.”

Emphasizing Brazil’s diplomatic stance in the region, Lula da Silva stated: “I reiterated Brazil’s commitment to peace in the Middle East. We exchanged views on the ongoing peace plan and agreed to maintain contact on this matter.”
