Lula da Silva: When we invest in healthcare, we invest in people
Brasília, July 2 (Hibya) - Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva said that investments in healthcare improve both citizens' access to health services and the working conditions of healthcare professionals.
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva issued a statement regarding investments in healthcare.
Lula da Silva said that during his visit to the city of Alagoinhas, a doctor told him that advanced medical equipment, previously seen only in hospitals abroad, is now also available in Brazil, adding that he was deeply moved by those remarks.
Stating that the government's goal is to make the most modern healthcare technologies available to the public, Lula da Silva noted that these investments not only improve citizens' access to healthcare services but also enable healthcare professionals to work with more advanced technology and take greater pride in being part of Brazil's Unified Health System (SUS).
