Luxon: We are strengthening our strategic partnership with Australia
Queensland, June 6 (Hibya) - New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon stated during a meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Queensland that the two countries are strengthening their security and economic cooperation, emphasizing the goal of building “a safer and stronger future.”
Luxon stated that cooperation with friendly nations is more important than ever in an increasingly volatile global environment.
The New Zealand Prime Minister emphasized that relations with Australia hold a special place in his country’s foreign policy, describing Australia as New Zealand’s closest partner and only ally.
During their meeting in Queensland, Luxon and Anthony Albanese agreed to further deepen security, defense, and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Luxon noted that the partnership is critical not only for the two nations but also for regional stability and prosperity, adding that they will continue working together toward the goal of building “a safer and stronger future.”
