Meloni hosted Slovak Prime Minister Fico
Rome, June 4 (Hibya) – Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni held a meeting with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico at Palazzo Chigi.
Prime Minister Meloni announced that she hosted Prime Minister Fico at Palazzo Chigi.
She stated that they had a very productive meeting with a wide-ranging exchange of views on Europe’s competitiveness, especially in the automotive sector, innovative technologies, transport infrastructure, renewable energy, and new-generation nuclear energy.
“We also confirmed our mutual interests in deepening bilateral cooperation and took the opportunity to address security and defense issues, as well as the remaining priorities on the EU agenda, especially the management of migration flows.”
Meloni added: “We reaffirmed the importance of combating irregular migration through investing in increased cooperation with countries of origin and transit. We also discussed support for a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and took a broader look at the European and geopolitical context.”
