Lahbib: Disasters do not discriminate by gender
Geneva, June 5 (Hibya) – European Union Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management Hadja Lahbib stated that disasters do not discriminate by gender.
Commissioner Lahbib emphasized that disasters do not discriminate by gender, saying:
“The EU adopts a gender-sensitive approach to civil protection and humanitarian aid. Resilience begins with listening to the voices and needs of women and including them. I visited the gender commitment wall to share my pledge.”
