Umerov: Defense support to reach 1.3 billion euros
Kyiv, June 5 (Hibya) – Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov stated that defense support to Ukraine under the "Danish model" will reach 1.3 billion euros in 2025.
Minister Umerov noted that part of the funding will come from revenue generated by frozen Russian assets, saying: "A portion of this funding will be provided through revenues from frozen Russian assets."
He said he met with Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and added: "The 'Danish model' is a unique mechanism for directly supporting Ukraine’s defense industry. It reflects trust in our army, recognition of our manufacturers' capabilities, and a tangible contribution to strengthening Ukraine’s Defense Forces."
