Meloni: Operations dealt a heavy blow to criminal organizations
Rome, May 30 (Hibya) - Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni made a statement regarding security operations carried out across the country.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that the security operations conducted nationwide had yielded significant results in the fight against organized crime.
Meloni announced that 1,335 people had been detained, legal action had been taken against 2,358 individuals, and more than 430 kilograms of drugs, 111 firearms, and 250 bladed weapons had been seized. Meloni said, “The large-scale operation carried out across the country dealt a very heavy blow to criminal organizations.”
Congratulating the Italian police force and everyone who contributed to the operation, Meloni said the government would continue its security policies, adding, “The government will continue to move forward with determination on the path of law and security.” Meloni also noted that measures to prevent the illegal carrying of weapons had been strengthened, stating, “Every blow dealt to criminal organizations means greater security and peace of mind for citizens.”
