Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni stated that the decree will protect workers, create new employment opportunities, and support companies that generate quality jobs.

Meloni said that the measures include strengthening the principle of fair wages, reviewing the procedures for renewing collective labor agreements, and encouraging the participation of young people and women in the workforce.

Emphasizing that steps have been taken to support work-life balance and combat exploitation as well as undeclared digital employment, Meloni said, “We are pursuing a path that supports work, creates opportunities, and places labor at the center.”
