Merz: Growth is essential to protect jobs
Berlin, May 11 (Hibya) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz stated that economic growth is critical for protecting jobs, called for adapting to change, and congratulated trade union leader Yasmin Fahimi on her re-election.
Merz, in his statement, emphasized that economic growth is the fundamental condition for protecting the labor market.
Merz stated that it is necessary to be prepared for changes, saying, “Growth is the prerequisite for protecting our jobs. We must be ready for change and jointly preserve what is important.”
In his statement, Merz also congratulated Yasmin Fahimi, President of the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB), on her re-election and said that he would be pleased to continue cooperation.
The message was given that the German government would continue strengthening dialogue with social partners in its economic policies.
