Kyiv, May 11 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked the United Kingdom, Canada, and the European Union for adopting new sanctions against those involved in the illegal deportation and identity erasure of Ukrainian children, emphasizing that these steps are important for protecting international law.

Welcoming the sanctions, Sybiha said: “A particularly meaningful contribution to the path of accountability within the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children.”
Emphasizing the legal and humanitarian dimension of the process, Sybiha said: “These measures target not only individuals and entities, but the entire mechanism behind the forced deportation and assimilation of Ukrainian children.”
Stating that this is not politics, Sybiha said: “This is not politics. This is about protecting children, defending human dignity, and upholding international law.”
