Brussels, June 26 (Hibya) – European Parliament President Roberta Metsola thanked Portuguese firefighters heading to Venezuela to support areas affected by the earthquake.
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola issued a statement as Portuguese firefighters departed to assist earthquake-affected areas in Venezuela.
Metsola said the Portuguese teams, who responded to the call under the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, acted with courage and dedication, adding: “You represent the very best of Europe.”
